Jana has helped my daughter with more than riding horses. Her way of patience and teaching has taught my daughter how to be a better person. Jana is like a big sister, a friend and a mentor. With Jana’s experience and knowledge we were able to find a spectacular horse that will take my daughter through college. We are very blessed to have Jana. She truly helps my daughter understand how to ride and become a team with her horse. I really don’t know what I would do without her. Jana takes her time to explain training and what works and why it works. Jana has expectations of my daughter and her horse. We don’t show up for a lesson for Jana to say ‘do this’ ‘do that’, she educates my daughter to understand her horse and that is what makes Jana priceless. I can not thank her enough for what she’s done for my daughter. Jana is beyond a doubt a blessing. I really value her opinion and schooling.

I am one of Jana’s students. I love her. She teaches me to always love my horse no matter what. Jana lets me know that horses have bad days and that’s okay. She also teaches me not to give up, not only in horse lessons but in my everyday life. She tells me that sometimes things get hard, but to keep trying and keep riding... it will come. She is so patient with me. She explains why things are done a certain way and she makes sense of it. I know when I am having a bad day and Jana says it will be okay, it will be, and that makes me feel better. She lets me voice my opinion and when I am wrong she explains it the right way, and when I am right, she listens. I feel privileged to have Jana show me the right way to be a team with my horse. The more I ride with Jana the better I get. She helped my parents find the perfect horse for me and we have good runs and we have bad runs but when we have great runs it feels so good knowing that Jana is so proud of us for always trying. Jana has told me we are not always going to be in first place, but as long as we try we have already won. I hope one day I can help kids the way Jana has helped me. Jana always supports me, she is there for me and my horse. I have been able to go to Arizona, Utah and travel southern Nevada with her and I learn so much from her. She listens to my boy problems too, like a big sister, she is my mentor.

Jana has what it takes to be a “true professional” in every sense of the word: Skills, talent, knowledge, dedication, perseverance, loyalty, compassion, and honesty.

For the past three years at one time or another, Jana has trained all four of our horses in English, Western, Showmanship and Barrel Racing. (she even “broke” our two-year old paint gelding). As a result of Jana’s instruction and coaching, my wife and daughter have become confident, proficient riders. But perhaps her greatest achievement in our eyes was taking our 6 year-old paint gelding from a Western Pleasure show horse to a highly competitive barrel racer!

Though young in years, Jana is aged in experience. She is always willing to go the extra mile and is always the first one there in time of need. Although she is our trainer, I am also proud to call her “friend”. Thank you Jana.
